It's SaTURDay!

Yes, it's Saturday today! And the first thing you've noticed about Saturday is the great steaming TURD in the middle of its name.

So, what's that all about then? Why has today got a turd in the middle of it? Not that we're objecting to it. In fact, if anything we're all on for sneaking rude words in the middle of real ones. But when you stop to think about it, there aren't actually all that many rude words hiding in other words which is quite surprising when you consider how many words there are in the English language - at least a hundred!

Anyway, on this page (which is only accessible on Saturdays) we're going to list some words which have other naughty words hiding inside them. So, if you know of any that we haven't tracked down yet, please send them to [email protected].

Album Now, why would anyone want to put an arse in a book of photographs? That's right, purely for a laugh.
Twang This is a great word by itself, but to have a todger in it is a sheer delight. The reader may also be interested in the existence of a place in Yorkshire called "Wetwang".
Ballcock Two for the price of one here!
Wristwatch It was a toss up between this and saltwater. As with all toss ups, the wrist got it.
Penistone A small town in Derbyshire. It's pronounced "Penniston" but it really does have a single 'n'.
Scunthorpe A slightly larger town in Lincolnshire. Scunthorpe is actually isolated from most of the internet due to pro-fanny-ty checkers.
Arsenal I once saw a football match on TV where Chelsea played Arsenal. In order not to obscure the picture with a large scoreboard, they abbreviated Chelsea to just its first 4 letters. Unfortunately, they did not do the same with Arsenal, choosing instead the rather boring ASNL. Bastards!

Other words with arses in them are: arsenate, arsenic, arsenide, coarse, coarsen, hearse, hoarse, Larsen, Marseilles, parse, rehearse and sparse.

Titillate OK, so tits appear in lots of words. Oh, which to choose...
